At last my car is back from the auto electricians and is now in full working order. It has been undergoing a total strip out of the original wiring loom, alarm system, fuse box and relays.
I have completely renewed the original wiring with modern state of the art wiring, fuse box, relays and engine loom. I have fitted a wide band lambda sensor which it wired into the Emerald ECU.
I have upgraded my ECU with the Emerald K3 ECU Full ignition & injection management system. I took the car to Dave Walker at Emerald today. He has now completed the mapping of the 3 maps which are as follows:-
Map 1 is for track days – I am getting 226 BHP at 5685 rev (122 mph) – 248lbs of torque
Map 2 is for everyday driving – I am getting 211 BHP at 5804 rev (125 mph) – 217lbs of torque
Map 3 is a map with no turbo boost and will be used for guest drivers at 186 BHP
Not bad for a 2L engine
Final job [pre MOT] is the front suspension shocks. I am going to sort this out in the next few weeks.
After months of being without my Mantaray I am so happy to be back on the road.
Happy motoring to all
Vic
