Urgent help required! Can any one tell me what gear boxes 4 and 5 speed with or without O/drive will fit the essex V6 engine?
I have the original bell housing.

Any Capri 3L or Reliant Scimitar 3L, on ebay you can usually buy a complete Reliant Scimitar for peanuts, spare engine and axle for the car.
It`s not more power you need, it`s less weight and a few subtle mods and some not so subtle!

if you want to go 5 speed, you'll need a type9 and a special bellhousing to fit
