Just a heads up really for those with a boot release button on the side of the ignition cowling behind the key.
I haven't been able to get into the boot for a couple of weeks (don't even ask about the back-up cable) I finally found that on my car the contacts for the switch sit proud and would come into contact with the metal body of the steering column when I pressed the button, this caused an enormous drain on the battery (short circuit) that would nearly stall the engine.
Stripped it down and insulated the back of the switch and all is well.
