Hi
Possibly a stupid question, but not been an owner that long - but I wondered if all of the various soft top versions of Marcos (or is it Marcii) had hard tops and whether they were still available? StevieCee |

Detachable hard tops were an optional extra as far as I am aware. One came with my Mantara but I have never fitted it as it is such a fiddle to dismantle
the soft top frame so that you can fit it.

Call MHS for a new hardtop but they are sometimes available second hand, if anyone knows where, Jeremy would! The same top fits the Mantara, GTS, LM, Mantis
but not available for the Mantaray or TS250/500; they all have to be hand fitted to the actual car.
Mike is right that the hood can be a challenge to get off but on a good day I can change over in a few hours. Other people have removed the metal clamp across the back of the hood and replaced with Dutz fastners so they can remove the hood more easily even when driving without the hardtop, it fits into the boot - just. |

Would you be interested in selling the hardtop? Due to building works I can't guarantee garage access for my car throughout the winter, and although I have a car cover for it, I'd consider a hardtop as additional protection if I could get hold of one. Sounds like it may be just taking up space for you? Steve |

Hi Steve,
Might be interested in selling , never really considered it Do not what the going rate is though. It is in verty good condition , perfect head lining and clearly not used much by previous owners. It is in Mauritius Blue. |

Hi Guys
Sorry for the delay in replying - network issues have kept me off-line. I'm afraid I was a little premature. I was supposed to collect my Mantara Spyder last Tuesday, but a problem developed with it! Vendor is unfortunately now on a european motor tour in his Trevor, so I won't know the status 'til he gets back in a couple of weeks. If the problem is resolved OK, I may well be back for the hard top. I don't want to tempt fate before hand and end up with a hard top and no car! Cheers StevieCee |
