Heading up towards J11 on the M42 at an indicated 70mph I felt a gradual but increasing tug to the left of the steering wheel, nothing dramatic but I figured I could stick to the inside lane and make it to the next service station to have a look.
A few miles further on and an X5 on the outside lane behind me was flashing his lights, initially I thought at someone else until I noticed the plume of white smoke he was driving through was coming from my car oops, thanks mate who ever you were
I pulled over to find out that the front nearside tyre was completely flat and holed on the inside wall
I made it off the next exit and pulled out the space saver only to find its too small to clear the AP calipers (without spacers) - so it can only be used on the rear and my rears are too wide to fit on the front.
3 hours later I was moving again with a new tyre fitted via the AA
Next time Ill be taking spacers with me
