I just called Lazerline and asked how I bought it, they did it over the phone. No fitment instructions but it isn't difficult to take the siren apart.

It's a pack of round flat batteries that plug into the PCB inside the alarm.
I ordered mine from my local alarm shop and they came a week later. Took about 40 mins to take the old one out and put the new one back in and with a great sense of anticipation I switched it back on and ................ it made no difference whatsoever. The guy who sorted mine out told me the Lazerline 996s have a habit of wearing out after 10 years. They tend to get a form of electronic alzheimers and start forgeting what car they are in or where they are - and imobilising your car at the most inconvienient, erratic times - or at least won't start again until they have had a 20 mins nap - if you've got any of the symptoms that I had it might be best to start thinking about a new alarm - read this link http://marcosforum.org/topic/4556/t/Laserline-996-Imobiliser.html
