Registered Member Posts: 194 Sun, 6-Dec-2009 13:13	Tags : None Saw last night on ITV channel "Rod Stewart - For One Night Only" and at 7.55 minutes in there was a video of him driving his white Marcos reg No NFJ634G, wonder if that car is still around and if so whether the current owner knows it's history, I did read somewhere that the reason he left to go solo was so he could earn more to buy a Marcos. http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=111566 is the link to ITV player where you can catch up on the last 7 days programmes, I did try to download it and cut and past it onto youtube but my computer skills are lacking, Regards, Martyn.........

Good old "Rod the Mod" always been a fan since early days but why did he change his Marcos for some nasty Italian tractor makers take on a sports car. The engines not even in the right place !!! Richard Partridge must so proud that Roddy modelled himself on him , just glad Richard`s given up on wearing the Spandex though I also heard that the Walkers Brothers had a Marcos appeace in their hay-day. Does anyone no for sure and if any "hip cats" from the swinging sixties owned one ?

I wrote to his sister-in-law to see if he was up for Prescott, but he was touring with Eric Clapton. Same goes for Zowie Wannamaker, whose film maker Dad , Sam, had one. She wrote me a nice letter saying that she had fond memories of her Dad's Marcos. I wonder if he owned it or if it was just for a photo shoot - a good car to reinforce his wild man image. Are there any photos around of Edwin Starr and his car? I saw him live once and it was one of the best performances I've seen. M.

Aggree with Snowman - awesome live and a really nice guy - he was gigging quite a lot then as Frankie had just covered War as the B side to Two Tribes so he was being 'rediscovered'.
