This is not the far eastern stuff which will de-laminate quickly; this is fully layered marine-grade plywood.
PM me if you're interested.

Does anyone need some marine ply? |

The panels which hold the bonnet pivots on my 3L V6 have rotted and I need to let in some new wood. I need a couple of pieces about 6" x 6" overall,
but I can only buy the correct 12mm marine ply in an 8' x 4' sheet @ £25. If anyone wants to go in with me, I don't mind buying it and cutting it
into portions and posting at cost, or you can pick up - I'm in Cheltenham.

Hi David, could be interested in some, I'm in Glasgow so could not pickup. If you can work out a price it would help.
Getting hold of marine ply can be difficult, I am currently trying to get hold of 3mm sheets locally which seems to be impossible. Delivery charges from out of town tend to be a lot more than the the sheets themselves - must be due to the size 4 x 8 feet. cheers |

Hi bigdiesel. I haven't got any other takers as yet. But if/when I do, probably the best way round is for you to tell me what your needs are and, if small
enough pieces, I can give you accurate posting costs. Everything would be at cost obviously. I'm not doing this to make money - just save money on the
buy. eg 1sq.ft. as a price/area proportion of a whole sheet @ £25, would cost you 78p plus around £4.00 p&p. For anyone able to pick up, it get
ridiculously cheap.

Got no more takers yet Bob. And I've made do with exterior grade ply for the bonnet stays. But I'll replace with the marine ply if/when I can get some
more sharers.

OK Bob & Steve. I'm away from home this week, but I'll go and buy the 8'x4' panel at the weekend, then I'll talk to you both about how
much/how many pieces you need and get the costs and address details organised.
To everyone else: there's going to be plenty of this fine stuff to go round. And it doesn't matter to me how small your requirement. So get in touch if you want some. Watch this space. David

To: bigdiesel and mgsteve (and everyone else, of course)
I'm now the proud owner of 32 sq.ft of 12mm marine ply. After cutting (into halves for transportation) and VAT, it came to £31.71, which is near enough £1 per sq.ft. If you guys want to send me your requirements (to the nearest sq.ft) and address details, I'll post at cost - 2nd class, unless you need it urgently - and bill you post-Post Office. I'm David at holmes.hq@tiscali.co.uk To everyone else: My own requirement is just a couple sq.feet, so there's enough to go round. email if you want some. |
