As a rather newbe on this forum, (got myself a mantara GTS spyder 2.O this summer), I would like to gather other belgian owners for some regular meetings in
the near future. I know there are quite a few, so come on guys,give me a call ! I live not so far from Zolder, as some others do....!! Roland

Hi Rollie,
I live in Zonhoven, so not too far away! You own what is probably the best modern Marcos for the Belgian legislation and I think it is a great looking car. Did you buy the car from Redline? They had a GTS for sale this summer. I have organised a couple of Marcos meetings in Belgium and Holland (google for Marcos Euregio Meeting) until I bought a house 4 years ago and had to spend more time on other things. My Marcos is a bit different to yours though, it is a 1963 Marcos Fastback which is under restoration at the moment. There is indeed a few Marcos cars aroundin Belgium and in our Limburg area, especially as the Marcos importer (and Mantula builder) for many years lived (and still lives) in Lummen. Cheers Maarten |

redline.It's the arden blue one,still to see on his site and I don't regret it one single moment!Although it has not the growl of a V8, it is quitte a
fast car, and a good one. drove avout 2000 miles since and it didn't miss a beat since! fantastic car to drive.Still on british registration,thanks to my
scottish connection!A belgian registration meens a one case approval and takes some headache! I know the former belgian importer Jos Vandervoort.bought some
stuff from him when he stopped assembling. Thanks to him a became a marcos admirer since 20 years. I use(d) to drive some of trevors cars,but the love to own a
marcos to became to bigg. I noticed you were racing mini marcos to? My goal is to gather on a free base some marcos lovers(I know someone in Landen with a 3 l
V6) in belgium and have a chat about our cars or a meeting a few times a year,sharing the same intrest in those lovely cars and comparing to our english
friends with their regional gatherings. And, why not trying to organise in the future a continental meeting on our beloved circuit in Zolder. My brother and I

Hi Rollie,
when I stopped organising the Euregio Meeting, CF Mantula took over and organised yearly meetings at the Nurburgring. I understand there is also a meeting planned in Luxemburg next year. There is HRT who is still using a Mantis for track days, but I guess there is more race cars sitting in Belgian and Dutch garages but not coming out very often. If you plan to organise a meeting, please let me know. Would be great to relive the time when we had 20 or so Marcos together (not all Belgian!)! Maarten |

I didn't know there were so many Marcos owners in Belgium :-) I live near Brussels and enjoy a fliptone Mantis as often as I can. Anybody going to the Classic Le Mans this year ? Michel |

no plans at the moment, but it would be great to get some Belgian owners together again. Maybe next summer would be great. Rollie seems to have a lot of experience in doing events at Zolder. We never had a Belgian Mantis on our meetings a couple of years ago. Since when do you own it? Maarten |

I bought it in 2006 from a friend in London.
He now has the Mantis that belonged to Jem March :-) and is on the forum as vincentblacklighting. Were you on the 50th anniversary ? Very interested to join whenever :-) |

Hi guys,
This is funny: 4 Belgians talking to each other in English(??) on a foreign forum. All right, if we should do it in Dutch I can imagine only a few would know what we are talking about. If it were in French it might be a bit more. I don't know if you 've already been to Zolder when we were out there with the Mantis? At the moment we are only taking part at Skylimt Clubraces.
