Seen at Prescott, on bonnet of BHE 431 Volvo -engined (sorry if I'm wrong) Swedish Club members car was a scale model of the same car! It looked brilliant and I wondered if it would be possible to track down origin of this model and if constructer would take commissions?? Any info gratefully received. (Sorry I really ought to know who's car it is!!) Cheers

Registered Member Posts: 71 Thu, 3-Sep-2009 14:18	Hi.Marcos Obsessive, The car you saw belongs to Per Haegermark who was in the club in the early 70s who has owned the car all that time. I believe the model was probably one like the one that i have,which was made by Corgi, and it is painted white with green stripes down the bonnet, although at the time my own car was British Racing Green i never got around to painting the model the same colour Patent No for the toy is 904525 it has quite good detail under the bonnet. I,m afraid thats all i can tell you.

It was big enough to adapt for radio control if consisting of a shell. Any more suggestions anybody?? By the way...I worked out it was Per's and have emailed him but thanks anyway Paul

Registered Member Posts: 1513 Fri, 4-Sep-2009 20:32 Guru mechanic	There was a 1/10th scale shell on eBay a few months ago but I was outbid, so there is a mold out there somewhere! The seller would not respond to requests for duplicates.

Registered Member Posts: 339 Tue, 8-Sep-2009 13:21 Apprentice mechanic	Have spoken to Per, who advised me that he had passed the shell to Stefan Ferling who has since emailed me with the following:- Dear Paul, a few days ago - I gave the car away to somebody who professional builts "Modellaircrafts" but is also able to produce carmodells. He is currently producing new moulds for me from the shell I gave him. He promised to finish the work within 3 weeks. I am looking forward to seeing his work. He asked for 500,00 € for the moulds. In the future I will be the owner from this moulds and can make him or somebody else produce as much cars as requested. His price for one carshell would be about 75,00 €. If you know anybody working with the moulds for a cheaper price please let me know. Regards Stefan So would anybody be interested in a shell or two (I'm likely to get two) or perhaps you might know where they could be made more cheaply...75Euros seems expensive to me.... Cheers Paul
