Brilliant day Gary. Thanks for organising a great afternoon and evening and to the Thames valley group for being great hosts (Nice to put faces to Forum
names). I was really pleased to see Boycey's LM 600 Evo in the flesh. A stunner! It exudes presence in bucket loads and it got all the attention it

Gary, my thanks also for arranging both the pre-event event(!) at West Wycombe (which was fab... we'll take it!
 ), & at the Ace Cafe. Eight Mantis, I counted, & some giant satsuma left
in the middle of the car park!... Oh, alright then Boycey, great effort too, getting the car to the meet!  It was a pleasure to see & the craftsmanship is self-evident. I hope you get the remaining
niggles sorted out & can relax & enjoy the rest of the summer driving in that exceptional car!
It was great to meet some new owners (& Forum members  ) &
reacquaint myself with some familiar faces. The obligatory top tips & advice, of course, & just generally getback onto Planet Marcos. Fab, & well
worth the trip

Hi all,
Sorry couldn't make it had a few disasters over the last couple o weeks meaning my attention and funds were diverted elsewhere! hope to see you all for the rally (for definate) I sat and watched 22 hours of Le mans coverage thou! managed to keep going from the start right through to 10.am Sunday before the matches holding my eyelids open failed!

Just had an email from Ace Cafe, any ideas of how many cars, and would you be interested in another meet next year?
If so on a Sataurday (not near Classic Le Mans) 11-4 or an evening meet but it would be on a non-music night. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Hi Gary, It was a pleasure to meet you at the recent Morgan & Marcos Meet at the cafe. competition between Richard and my Mini Marcos for oldest car there, both registered 1979!

Great idea for another meet, count me in!
The later start time was quite good as we were able to meet up elsewhere first but an earlier start might make the journey home a little easier for Quiffy! Pretty amazing to see you come all the way down and hope you got home OK. If a 4pm finish is too early maybe it could be the start of something else... a circumnavigate of the M25, perhaps Boyces idea should become an annual event... "The Boycey Blast". |

Ace Cafe summary:
- First outing of the newly restored - one and only - road legal LM600. - Two Concourse winning cars - Richards Mantis GT and Garys Mantis. - First time together of the first LM's in each model (First: LM600, LM500 & LM400) - is it just me that thinks this is important?!? Can anyone else fill in any other car related highlights? There was some great looking cars and a big variety present. - I know it was the first time for one owner to drive his car in the rain - apologies but I can't remember who! |

From my recollection there were 3 Mantaras, and 1 Mantula Spyder.
Thanks for a brilliant evening, 3 firsts for me/us:- (1) attending a Marcos meet and meeting some great people (2) visiting the Ace Cafe (3) driving in the rain - no dramas, no leaks, no misting up (is this normal?) Andy & Beverley

Confirmed 3 Mantara' s (Socramsnalla,Andy W and Britara )plus Mantula Spyder(Cool Mart), were present along with Tim and Richard's Mini's Manta Ray
and well supported collection of Mantis and LM's including the 'special one'
