discs | #61 | ||

ha ha , no these are def not ceramic!!! they decided to clean them up, ie rub off all the surface rust off the discs, and paint them with a heat temprature
paint, yes when the pads will be applied to the discs it will rub off the black paint, but at least the inner discs will stay looking nice!! through the
wheels. going to have a look this Friday, it should be well on its way to be bieng put back together.

latest update 6th March 2009 | #62 | ||
|
Been to have a look today, the calipers have been painted the same as the car, and are all fitted, they have also put some heat proof marcos logos on them and
then laquerd over them, they look really good behind the black wheels!!. The exhaust system has also been re fitted and is on for life!!, they have painted
satin black inside the rear wheel arches, painted the suspension and wish bones etc, again look very nice, they have rubbed down the paintwork again!!! ready
to re laquer the car ( the last stage now of finishing the body work!) but it has not been finished yet, (thought it might be this week) but it will certainly
be laquerd and finished by friday next week, they are going over every little blemish on the paintwork so it will end up factory finish. Once the car has been
laquerd, then they will re fit all the rubber trims, carbon fibre wing, running boards, front canards, and various are scoops. The car will have a proper
fitted tow eye to the front, which WILL be functional not stuck on haha, so 1st week of March gone already, so now its going to be end of March even poss early
April!! depending on how busy the trimmers are. I am not starting to worry yet about time scale, but it will be almost 6 months since the car was 1st worked
on!!! and the cost is going up with it!!! Its mainly down to body work preperation, it was all over the place. The car is definately going to be completed
and on the road well before the 1st meeting, i intend to attend, the Ace Cafe meet London, which i think is June?, this year i will only bring the car to a
few shows, ie Ace cafe, 50th Anniversary ( a must!) NEC classic car show Nov, but that will prob be it, i doubt i will go to the Curborough event, as i know
the noise level will be too loud, it is loud!.he he. i will soon start sending an article and pics to some car magazines, ie classic car, road and track
magazine, certainly not max power!!! LOL. I have taken a pic of the calipers painted and again i will send this to Gary H early next week. not really worth
uploading any other pics at the moment as it looks pretty much the same. 4000 views by the time its finished????????. I will update this again either mid next
week or next frin depending on progress!

update 14th march | #69 | ||

I had a look fri night and well bloody awsome!!! the car looks fantastic especially now the carbon fibre has also been laquerd, they have also laqured the
carbon fibre seats, and as a very nice touch they have painted the backs of the seats in orange (same as the exterior!!). although i took some pics, i will
actually wait till next friday to get some more pics reason is because the doors/boot/bonnet was not fitted so the pics will look better when she is fully
assembled, plus the carbon fibre wing and all the other bits will be added also, the interior will be started 1 weeks time also.

As you can see the body work is all done, the ride hieght is not correct, they will do all the final adjustments once the doors etc have been re fitted this week, by friday this week hopefully the rear wing, headlights, and headlamp covers will all be fitted, plus the other carbon fibre bits to be added to the exterior, but in this picture, you can see how smart this paint job is, and the colour is mega. So friday i will go and have a look (cannot wait its getting so close now!!) and then monday gary will hopefully upload prob the final pictures, but i will keep you all posted with the interior stage, and send in a picture when thats done!. |

That's a glorious looking car Boycey. Really am looking forward to seeing it finished (not quite as much as you, obviously!) & of course trying to
persuade you to bring it up to Tatton Park sometime.

wing mirrors | #78 | ||
|
Yes these are in fact almost finished, so when i go and have a look tommorrow i should have a cool pic of them. The way these have beed designed is really goog
they are mounted on 3 aliminuim prongs that are fixed to the A frame of each door ( as apposed to fixing them to the pillers) so when you open each door the
mirrors open out with them, just looks a little more dramatic! the actual body of the mirrors are smaller than the standard wing mirrors on Lm's and
Mantises and are more curvacious and will be painted orange with the 3 prongs painted in a graphite grey colour to match the same colour as the door window
surrounds. Yes i think your right the close up pics i will do especially of the wing mirrors will attract a lot of attention, they really look good high up
and sticking out. very Zonda looking!.
