My drivers side seatbelt was playing up on my Mantula and I didn't like the stalks on the transmission column as they dug into my leg, I also found the
release button being on the inside a faff to disengage. I called FDTS in Surrey after RPA in Northampton couldn't be bothered to help. Run by a lady called
Sue who really knows her stuff. I've now got two shiny new belts matching the colour of my car and the piping in the seats. The stalks are now fabric, she
sewed them three layers deep for rigidity and because I drove there so she could measure them, she got the length perfect. The lower half of the belt now fits
across my waist as it should and not diagonally across my hip and thighs.
It's a proper old fashioned workshop and she'll tailor whatever you want. If you only want a new belt that's no problem, or go for the full monty like I did with new retractors, hardware, etc for £110+vat. Less than I was quoted for like for like replacements! She spent ages getting it how I wanted and I highly recommend her.
She even posted me colour samples for me to match first.
For replacement retractors, I would make the journey there as I did, there are many sizes and not all will fit behind the Mantula's seat as I found out.
